The Duck'n Down Marsh hunting stool was the brain child of two midwestern duck hunters with over 80 years of combined experience. Using that knowledge the design of the Duck'n Down stool took over 7 years of R&D and 5 generations to create this final version. We have tried all mass produced stools on the market -- no other compares in the multitude of functionality and reliability that this stool provides afield. The Duck'n Down stool may be a little more expensive than the other 'requires assembly' products out there, but this stool will last years beyond those other products while providing more combined features for success: floatable, height adjustable, and swivel seating.
Duck hunting requires patience for those long, grind out days, and optimal concealment for the opportunities when they finally arrive. The Duck'n Down Marsh Stool provides the comfort necessary to exercise that patience as well as the concealment you need to be successful.
What materials we use and why:

Stained cedar seat, seat support, foot and stake provide buoyancy and resistance to decay/deformity.

Painted schedule 40 PVC stationary and sliding tubes provide strength and precision.

This seat is made to last. Very impressed with its sturdy construction and it floats as advertised. I've used this for 2 full seasons and there's no sign of wear or tear. Was surprised how useful the rotating feature is to cover all 360 degrees. I mainly use the low height setting to get maximum concealment in sparse cover but the huge range of extended height helps when I'm in good cover and deeper water. This is one of the most important pieces of gear I own for duck hunting. Highly recommend.
